Setanta

Raleigh, NC

AI consulting in Raleigh, NC, for operating firms in a research-heavy region.

Setanta, based in Wilmington, NC, helps Raleigh and Triangle firms of 50 to 500 people put Claude to work. The region is known for research and software, but most firms here are ordinary operating businesses with ordinary paperwork. We aim at those, with a free Operating Diagnostic first.

The state figure blends the Triangle with the rest of North Carolina, and Ramp does not publish a Triangle cut, so we cannot say how Raleigh compares with the state. What we can say is that North Carolina stands at 52.87% and climbed 4 places last month. Treat a state number as context. The useful question is what your own team does with its seats.

For a Raleigh firm, the nearest comparison is the other US Southeast states: North Carolina ranks second of the seven on Ramp adoption. The State of AI by State report carries the other 50 rows and the sources, for comparing Raleigh with anywhere else.

The local economy

Known for research. Built on operating firms.

Raleigh sits at one corner of the Research Triangle, with Durham and Chapel Hill. Research Triangle Park, NC State, Duke and UNC anchor the region's reputation, and SAS in Cary and Red Hat in Raleigh are headquartered here. Raleigh is also the state capital, so government and the firms that serve it are part of the economy.

A region with that reputation attracts AI companies. It also grows, which brings the businesses every growing metro needs: contractors, engineers, distributors, property managers and agencies. Those firms are not AI companies and do not want to become ones. They want the proposal written, the letter drafted and the quote out. We are not a research lab and do not compete with the software companies. We do deployment work in firms that already exist.

Where Claude would help here

The industries that match the Raleigh economy.

Firms in a fast-growing region tend to look like these three.

  • Engineering and architecture

Growth means proposals. Firms pursuing public and private work spend long hours on RFP responses and spec review.

  • HOA management

New communities arrive continually, and management companies carry the letters, packets and owner email that come with them.

  • HVAC

Contractors serving new construction and an established base need dispatch context and maintenance agreements that renew on time.

  • Specialty distribution

Distributors supplying builders and trades live on order entry and quoting.

How we serve Raleigh

Remote first, on site when the work needs it.

Setanta is based in Wilmington, NC and has no Raleigh office. We work with Triangle clients remotely and on site. The first conversation, the Diagnostic, is a call, and most of the build happens in your own accounts.

THG Insurance, an independent agency in Wilmington, NC, is our published proof and the nearest we have to a regional reference. It is an insurance agency, not a Triangle firm, and we say so.

  • Launch, Build and Scale.

In Raleigh, as anywhere, each package ends at a finish line agreed up front. See how an engagement runs.

  • HubSpot and the CRM.

HubSpot is common among Triangle software and services firms. We clean the CRM, connect Claude and set up routines for sales, service and operations, and we migrate teams off Salesforce when that is the plan.

Questions

Asked in Raleigh.

Is Setanta a research or software company?

No. Setanta is an AI deployment firm. We help existing businesses of 50 to 500 people put Claude to work on their own operations. We do not build AI models, sell software or compete with the research and software companies in the Triangle.

Why would a Triangle firm hire a Wilmington firm?

Because the work is mostly done in your own accounts, with our founder doing it, and a firm of your size does not need a local office. Setanta is based in Wilmington, NC, and works with Triangle clients remotely and on site.

Do you work with government contractors?

We have no published client in that area, and we make no security or compliance claims. If your work involves controlled or sensitive information, we would discuss in the Diagnostic what Claude may touch and what it must never see, before any scope is written.

Can you help a team migrate from Salesforce to HubSpot?

Yes, that is a service we offer. Claude assists with mapping, cleanup, deduplication and validation, and people approve the decisions. Setanta migrates off Salesforce and does not implement it. The audit sets the scope.

What is the free Operating Diagnostic?

A free call (book a time) that looks at how your team works today. It finds where Claude would move your numbers first and the process worth fixing first, and says which package fits. If it is not the right time, we say so.
