North Carolina climbed 4 places in a month, from #21 to #17, on 1,844 sampled Ramp businesses. For a Charlotte seller the practical reading is about your prospects: more of them now hold a paid AI seat, but the Claude usage index of 0.77 says few use it deeply. They will recognize the vocabulary of AI outreach. That makes a generic AI-written email easier to spot, and a specific one worth more.

Among the seven US Southeast states we serve, North Carolina ranks second on Ramp adoption. The State of AI by State report has the other rows and the sources.

The market

A city of big names, and a bigger field of firms that serve them.

Charlotte is known for its banks. Bank of America and Truist are headquartered there, Wells Fargo has large operations, and Duke Energy and Nucor are headquartered in the city too. Those companies are far outside the 50 to 500 person range, and a GTM system for a mid-size firm should not be aimed at them directly.

The opportunity sits next to them. Commercial insurance agencies, engineering and architecture firms, HVAC and fire protection contractors and distributors sell to the corporate base and to the builders who keep the city growing. Their buyers are facility managers, property managers, general contractors and risk managers, which are concrete roles with findable signals: a new building permit, a new facilities lead, an expanding branch.

What the system would do here

Personas for the people who buy from a contractor or a broker.

ICP by trade
A fire protection contractor and a commercial insurance agency sell to different people. The ICP and the personas are written per business, from the deals that firm already won.
Timing for a growing metro
Charlotte keeps building, so timing signals such as new construction or a change of facilities lead can raise an account's score. The weights are set from your own won and lost deals, not from ours.
Review before sending
Each email opens with one real fact about the prospect. A person at your firm reads it first, because a banker's neighbor will notice a wrong fact quickly.

We have no Charlotte GTM client. The list above is what we would configure, and the Diagnostic tests whether your business has the pattern.

How we serve Charlotte

No office here. The work is in your accounts.

Setanta is based in Wilmington, NC and has no Charlotte office. Our founder works with Charlotte clients remotely and on site. Because HubSpot, Clay, Apollo and Instantly are your accounts, most of the build does not depend on where anyone sits.

Our only published client, THG Insurance, is in Wilmington and is about Claude inside an agency. It is not a Charlotte result or a GTM one.

Questions

Asked in Charlotte.

Do you sell to the Charlotte banks or help us sell to them?

No to both. Setanta works with firms of 50 to 500 people, and the large banks are outside that range. We build go-to-market systems for mid-size firms that sell to the corporate base and to builders: agencies, engineers, contractors and distributors.

Is there a Setanta office in Charlotte?

No. Setanta is based in Wilmington, NC and has no other office. Our founder works with Charlotte clients remotely and on site. The system is built in your own accounts, so most of it can be done without being in the room.

Which Charlotte firms suit GTM engineering?

Firms that sell to other businesses, have a sales owner and use or will use HubSpot. Commercial HVAC and fire protection contractors, equipment dealers, distributors and insurance agencies fit best. Consumer brands and firms with their own revenue operations team usually do not.

What is the free Operating Diagnostic?

A free call (book a time) that looks at how your team works today. It finds where Claude would move your numbers first and the process worth fixing first, and says which package fits. If it is not the right time, we say so.
